• URL is a standard for specifying any kind of information on internet. URL defines four things which are as follows,
• METHOD : It's an method to retrieve an document present on the internet.
• HOST COMPUTER : Host Computer is computer where the information is stored. It is the source of information user wants. These computers are given names starting as 'www'.
• PORT : URL's can optionally contain port numbers.
• PATH : It's the path of file or document you want from the host computer.
